Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Suzhou Maifangbao Tech Ltd. (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your information when you use PennyVid (pennyvid.com, the “Service”). It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We never see your Google password.
• Content you provide — topics, scripts, video settings (voice, size, style, music) and images you upload.
• Content we generate for you — scripts, voiceover audio, subtitles and finished videos.
• Usage and billing records — your credit balance, plan, and a history of credit charges and refunds.
• Technical data — standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and error reports, kept for security and troubleshooting.

2. How we use it

• to sign you in and keep your account secure;
• to write scripts and generate, store and deliver your videos;
• to track credits and prevent fraud or abuse;
• to respond to your support requests;
• to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to train AI models or for advertising.

3. Data retention — 30 days

Generated videos and the files used to create them — including images you upload, voiceover audio and the script stored with the video — are kept for 30 days from creation and then automatically and permanently deleted. You can also delete a finished video yourself at any time, which removes its files immediately. Deleted content cannot be recovered, so please download anything you want to keep.

Account information and credit records are kept while your account is active and deleted within a reasonable time after you ask us to close your account, except where we must keep them to meet legal, tax or anti-fraud obligations. Server logs are kept for a limited period.

4. Service providers

To run the Service we share data with trusted providers, only as needed for them to perform their function:

• Google — sign-in;
• Vercel — website hosting and file storage;
• Neon — database and authentication;
• AI model providers (accessed through Vercel AI Gateway) — receive your topic or script to write scripts, generate voiceover and choose images;
• Pixabay and Pexels — receive short, automatically generated search keywords to find stock photos (not your personal information);
• Rendi — renders the final video from your script, audio and images.

These providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users, the public or us.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. Your browser’s local storage keeps your unfinished draft and a few interface preferences on your own device. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access is restricted to what is needed to run the Service. Files you upload and videos you generate are stored at hard-to-guess web addresses: anyone who has a file’s link can open it, so only share links with people you trust. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to withdraw consent. To make a request, email us at support@pennyvid.com from the address linked to your account. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

8. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date above shows the latest version; significant changes will be announced in the Service.
